avoiding that big tree

Ever feel as though your life is on a one way path to destruction or worse, self-destruction?

We are all busy, whether we work at one job with no pay or three jobs. There are always things we could do to ease the madness. Even small things can make a big difference. Therefore, my thoughtful question today deals with streamlining our daily lives. Here 'tis:

One thing that I would love to change or correct
about my daily life is ______________.

Now for the second part to this thought:

To make it happen, I will __________________.

*NOTE*

my husband
my children
my life in general

While we may be tempted, these choices are not allowed!

Let's try to improve on the improvable because we all know that
there are some things in life that refuse to change - such as...

my husband
my children
my life in general

I'll go first.

One thing that I would love to change or correct is...
the fact that I can't fit all of my activities into a 24 hour period.

In order for this to take place I will...
create a daily schedule for answering emails, exercise, studio time, etc. - and FOLLOW IT.

Your turn.

  2. One thing that I would love to change or correct
about my daily life is the feeling of never having enough time.

I will correct this by prioritizing my activities and allow myself to say "no" when I'm feeling too tired and stressed.

  3. Oooh, yours is good...
One thing that I would love to change or correct about my daily life is allowing myself to feel overwhelmed by all the things I choose to take on.

To make it happen, I will accept that I will not always be able to do everything at 110%, early, and to the satisfaction of everyone on the planet. (I will choose one thing that can be 110% and brilliant and let the rest of the chips fall where they may!)

  4. One thing that I would love to change or correct is...
I don't enjoy my paying job as much as I used to, and I am really happy when doing my non-paying crafty job.

In order for this to take place I will...
Arrange some time off from paying job (might be able to save enough vacation days to get some pay) and put 100% (-family, goes without saying) into my crafty hobby and see what happens. Ya never know unless you try as they say...

  5. One thing that I would love to change or correct is that I can't wake up in the mornings!

I will correct this by either going to be earlier or taking the week off work to sleep! hmmm!

  6. All great answers. I could SO add several more - like exercising more so that I might sleep better. Oh, that would go with scheduling. Note to self...

  7. One thing that I would love to change or correct is...
I would (mostly) turn off the TV.

In order for this to take place I will...
Make a long list of shows I will completely eliminate and banish them forever.
Make a short list of just the shows I really truly enjoy.
Allow myself ONE TV treat each evening from the short list.
(actually I was just doing this before reading your post!)

  8. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Well if I can't get rid of the family I may never be organized !!! DAMN ! .....I think I must always self correct my *attitude*!!! I would like to be able to control the stream of chaos but really that is not realistic. At least I can laugh at myself - if I didn't have a sense of humor I'd be dead !

  9. One thing I would love to change is being motivated to work out in the morning before getting ready to go to work. To make it happen, find a drill sgt. to get my butt out of bed!
