a new year, looking forward

Happy 2011! As you may know, my mom has been in the hospital this week and as I result, I'm spending lots of time here, too. Thank you so much for all of the sweet wishes, prayers, and good thoughts sent our way.

I'm SO excited about our new weekly series called "Featuring Studio Spaces". Super talented jewelry artist and lovely lady, Lorelei Eurto, will be our first featured artist. I believe that it's going to be an inspirational treat each week as we visit and talk with various artists* and tour their creative spaces. Be sure to check in this Thursday, January 6th.

Since I'm away from home and studio, I'm spending lots of time with my trusty sketch pad, designing, planning and growing more and more exited about all of the new Studio Waterstone handbags and accessories in store for 2011! All this new year talk makes me wonder:

What kind of goals have you set for yourself in 2011?
What are you most excited about?

*Would you like to be featured? Featuring Studio Spaces includes even the smallest creative space and includes links back to your shop, blog and/or website! Just click on the contact button and we'll add your name to the schedule.

  1. I hope your Mom gets better soon!

I am going to take this year one day at a time... I do have ideas about what I would like, but have found that if I try too hard...all goes awry. I hope 2011 brings you much success and happiness!

  2. I am glad your mom is better. I bet you have lots of great ideas in your head!

My plan for this year is planning and organization. I wrote about it on my blog today.

Please do not look at my studio picture. ~cringes~

  3. Oh goody I can't wait!!! I am glad your mom is doing well. I'd like to get rid of some of my procrastination and get more done!

  4. I hope your mom is feeling better!

The Studio Spaces series sounds exiting, I love getting a peek at other artists work spaces!

My goals for 2011 include being happier and less stressed. And finishing projects I've started on!

  5. I understand life with a sick parent. It can be such a balancing act. I hope that she moves toward good health. I'm glad that you can at least find some time for your creative ideas. I was so thankful to have my knitting with me when my dad was sick.

I am hoping to expand my rustic product line and oversized beach totes. Organization is always a continuous improvement process, too. I look forward to inspiration from your wonderful blog!

  6. Keeping your Mom in our prayers!

I am excited to see what you create this year and how your work grows. You are so talented and I love seeing all of your photos.

Raising my hand to participate in your Studio Spaces series :D

  7. Yay Kelley! I was hoping you'd add your name to the hat. I've seen your studio in person and it's a great space. You're on for February - I'll be contacting you.

I love reading each one of your comments. Thanks for your visit and have a wonderful day.
