i heart macro
Hoping that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Ours is still ongoing, which is why I've been AWOL for the past week. Even so, I just can't go a week without celebrating the art - or attempted art, in my case - of macro.

It's time for "I Heart Macro" slash "I Heart Close Ups: Up Close Photography for Macro Makers and the Camerologically Challenged". Join me by blogging your up close/macro picture of the week. Grab the button* to show that you're participating and link up here.

*Instructions for grabbing a button*
Copy the code shown above. Go to your blogger and instead of using the "compose" tab, click on the "edit html" tab. Paste the code you've just copied. Then switch back to the "compose" tab and you'll magically see the button! Finish your post, publish and you are done. Easy peasy.
*NOTE* If you're having trouble linking up, send me your information via the contact button (name, email, link) and I'll add it for you.

Isn't it amazing that roses are stilling buds in this weather? Love the lighting on the leaves! Gorgeous!
beautiful bud and I love how the sun is shining behind the ivy....
I love the old rose bud, I nearly took some similar shots. They are so interesting at this stage.
Nice shots of the rosebud and the spider web string behind it, and the shot of the sun shining through the Ivy leaf.

Beautiful focus on the bud, Lori! Love the detail you can see in the petal! I love the lighting on the ivy too!
P.S. Thank you for posting my badge for the featured artist!
Great close up of the little rose bud and beautiful lighting on the leaf.
wonderful rose ♥
Beautiful shots and great macro! Lovely dried flower bud..
Love the rose, but what I love more is the fragile gossamer threads attached to the rose.
Your "rose bud" is glorious. Beautiful compositions and lovely images. [I had a hard time choosing from my daughter's purchase of Fiestaware or the Raven... LOL] Great weekend. I will return tonight to post comments. Thanks so much for hosting. kareninkenai
Both of those shots have something super special about them, though I can't quite put my finger on it.
I adore the wispy cobweb on the rose (though I can't stand to think about what created it!)
As well, the light behind the ivy leaf is really magical.
Wonderful, as always!
I like that picture. I'm new to macro. Didn't know I could before.
My entry is here
attempted art, nothing! That rose is gorgeous... :)
Oh, Lori, the rose is stunning and beautiful. Made me gasp!
