my sketchbook: in color

color?  remember the study in black & white?

mostly black and white.
wishy-washy about color, I saved the original image and...

played with color.

I know which I prefer.   how about you?

  1. I love the color!
    What is your favorite?

  2. I LOVE it in black and white....but then I scrolled down and saw it in fabulous colors!!! Beautiful!

  3. That is a hard one.. WoW .. both are really awesome .. I guess it just depends on the viewer's mood .. it is funny how they look so different although they are really same drawing. The color is pretty juicy .. :o)

  4. Love the B&W but the color makes this sing. Gotta ask, are they milk weed pods? I know your drawings aren't necessarily literal. But the first time I saw this drawing that's what leapt into my head. Childhood memories and all. Haven't even thought of a milk weed in decades. But they are a very cool form. Does anyone else in the world even know what a milk weed is?

  5. yes I definately love the colour impact; you must get lost in time playing on paper; love it, what you did

  6. The colors are fab! What did you use to color it? But still the b/w is my fav, as it reminds me of the drawings in old herb books.

  7. Love the color, Lori! Of course I would! Beautiful pieces!

  8. Okay, I'm still wishy-washy and go back and forth. But I really like the edited black and white image. Hm...

  9. Okay. Color it is! But I love them both ways. You are a marvel. Enjoy the day! Erin

  10. They are both beautiful, but I adore the color best!

  11. I honestly couldn't say which I prefer as both are so beautiful. You have an amazing talent =)

  12. Love your sketchbook: in both black/white and color! Love the different patterns in the roses.

  13. Being a nature photographer, I'm all about color. The black and white is great, but the color is awesome!

I love reading each one of your comments. Thanks for your visit and have a wonderful day.
