stories: a wise (?) woman's advice
>> October 31, 2012
Have you ever examined your ability to advice? Thanks to instant messaging, we sometimes get it in writing. Just a very small sampling here. (my advise is in the blue bubble) An unusually scary thing - in honor of Halloween.
Prologue: The first convo is a family group message. Jeff was staying in Downtown Chicago and had just eaten one of their famous pizzas. The second and third, mother/daughter convo...Jessie's Halloween costume logic.

What's your scariest advise to date?
P.S. And speaking of advice... There's still time to offer up a bit of your own and qualify to win the suede artist's pouch. You have until tonight, October 31st. Midnight.

It isn't advice that I have given, but this week I am hearing a political ad on the radio that is two women having coffee talking about which candidate for Senate they will be voting for. One of the women says of the candidate in question, "He's the cute one, right?" What the ?!*@!? Even my kids thought that was odd advice to vote for someone because they are the 'cute one.' *Shudder* Scary, right?
And I was a sorority girl. Not sure what 'stuff' we knew that others didn't but I would watch out for those guys in costumes. At UW-Madison when I was there they had over 100,000 people flood downtown state street. Some from states far away would come. And there is nothing scarier than being groped by someone in a costume. "He was dressed as a gorilla, officer!" Be safe! All treats and no tricks today! Enjoy the day. Erin
