Don't get me wrong, Valentine flowers are beautiful. But there's something about flowers found alongside the road or in a field growing wild that just speaks to me. So for this week's installment of Sally Russick's Focus on Life series, I'm featuring flowers that you won't find in any shop.

Wild flowers are so indicative of the best of nature, blooming with no help by anyone but the Creator. Thanks for the beautiful photo.

Beautiful focus and background blur! I love any type of wildflower, heck even some of the weeds are beautiful!

Yes, agreed. I have a field behind my home that fills with wildflowers and it's always sad when the maintenance crew shows up to hack it all down. Must try to get some shots as beautiful as time before they come

Stunning composition - I much prefer flowers in their natural habitat.

That is one beautiful shot! We rarely stop and look at the detail in a simple "weed."

That's a beautiful photo. I love those dried up remnant of summer flowers too.

Really nice shot, I too like what my neighbors call "weeds" that we let grow in our yard.

Great shot! Just proves that we really do need to slow down and look around!

I live in the country so I see lots of wild flowers too. I'm glad to see others enjoying them too.

There is beauty in the simplest of flowers and even the weeds. Your photography is stunning Lori, love the faded colors and background, frame worthy!

Gorgeous. A few months later for this prompt and I could have shared the stunning wild arrowroot that grow all over but alas, Montana and February do go mix for wildflowers.

I love this photo! The cream and brown, the out of focus background.

Beautiful photo! You've taken me back to my wedding, 20 years ago. We had tall stands of Queen Anne's Lace at the ceremony.

I do agree, wildflowers have a mysterious beauty.. We never know when or where next we can see them.. Sometimes we never even know their names! Beautiful!
