thunderstorms, sunshine and vidalia onions

Focus on Life: Green #1

Focus on Life: Green #2

Focus on Life: Green #3

After the heart stopping thunderstorm we had last night, I tiptoed out to our small, sun drenched garden to capture the vidalia onions - vividly green and dripping with liquid sunshine. The top image is the actual bloom from said delicacy - who'd a thunk?

Have you ever tasted this southern onion? If so, the sweet blooms shouldn't come as much of a surprise. This is our favorite way to eat them - but only on special occasions.

Enjoy your weekend folks. Have something delicious. Stay cool and sunburn free.

  18. I don't actually like onions... but I think that deer don't like them either so maybe I should grow them and the deer would leave my flowers alone? Lovely pictures!
