My Sketchbook: You Are My Favorite Destination

My Sketchbook: You Are My Favorite Destination

A little painting from my time spent alone last week. (You may have seen a sneaky peek on Instagram.) While eating cake and drinking coffee, tea and wine and creating things like this I must have been missing my other half a bit because this little phrase popped into my head. I was amazed how easily it flowed for both the initial pencil sketch and final painting.

I combined the phrase with watercolor feathers to create two patterns - one with turquoise and gray and the other with shades of brown and turquoise.  These patterns have now morphed into totes, skins, cases and even shower curtains and duvets for goodness sakes! Click here and here for details.

I'm making it into a sweet little card as well to offer in my art and bag shop. I'll let you know when that's available for purchase.
